Minnesota Valley Irrigation customers and employees were invited to a 25th anniversary celebration featuring vendors showcasing the industry’s latest products as well as food and speakers.
The event took place at the Maslowski Wellness and Research Center in Wadena and brought together customers and suppliers from across the region.
Rich Panowicz, vice president of North American sales for Valley, said the entire agriculture industry is changing in many ways because of technology. Irrigators are just one way for farmers to use technology in the field, and Valley has new products, including control panels, that will help customers monitor and control irrigators in the field.
Wadena’s Valley Distributor, Minnesota Valley Irrigation (MVI), works with customers in the area to keep the equipment in good working order. She is starting a call center to be able to serve customers more quickly.
In addition to learning more about products and innovations in irrigation and agriculture, celebration attendees were able to listen to motivational speaker Walter Bond.
Bond played basketball for the Minnesota Gophers and later was a professional NBA player.
He spoke of taking on challenges that seem overwhelming and creating habits and rituals for success.
Now retired from the NBA, Bond shares lessons and stories about his life and how to create a mindset for success in any career and in life.
This was Bond’s second time speaking at one of MVI’s conferences.
