For the fourth time since the Campfire, the Paradise Irrigation District is looking for a Division Manager, this time in Division 5.
Dan Hanson was selected in 2019, replacing Dan Wentland in Division 1 who had resigned following the fire and moved to Tennessee.
Hanson, who ran unopposed in the 2020 election for the Division 5 seat, told the board ahead of the Jan. 19 meeting that he would be stepping down for personal reasons.
Whoever replaces Hanson in the position would hold the position until the 2022 election in the fall. But the winner of the 2022 election would remain in office until he is due to stand for re-election in 2024.
Depending on the district, directors must attend at least one board meeting per month and attend an average of one to two committee meetings per month.
The district will provide board training for anyone selected by the directors.
Those interested in applying for the position must reside in both the District and Division 5. A map of the Division 5 boundaries can be viewed on the District’s website at www.pidwater.com /board.
Those wishing to be considered for nomination to fill the vacant position must submit a written letter of interest, including their name, residential address and a PID Statement of Qualifications form to the Board of Directors no later than 3:30 p.m., February 2, 2022.
The written Letter of Interest and Statement of Qualifications PID form can be hand-delivered or mailed (postmark dates will not be accepted) to:
Board of Directors, Paradise Irrigation District, 6332 Clark Road, Paradise, CA 95969.
